Week 10 sees Albania respond well to a tight 1996a Southern Division
race with a 7-1 victory over the Mississippi Mudcats. HRs were tough
to come by for the Picayunes, particularly with Henry Rodriguez
entering his first slump of the year. Still, the rest of the Picayune
squad was able to pick up the slack with a well balanced offensive
attack. Albania's pitchers also came around this week, producing very
good (for them) ERA and WHIP numbers.
Former free agents Mark Gardner and Matt Karchner provided two of the
wins, and an erratic Mike Henneman continued to pump in the saves for
the squad.
Terry Mulholland had a couple good starts for the 'Cats, but couldn't seem
to scrape up a win.
