The Bronx Bombers' Dave Justice gave his team an extra point on Sunday by
going 3-3 3rbi including a 2-run home run to give the Bombers a 11-5 win
over the Tacoma Dawgs.
The Bombers dominated the pitching stats taking 3 out of 4 categories
with a Opening day victory by Kevin Brown (6.1IP 5H, 1ER, 1BB) and a
complete game victory for Scott Erickson. Rob Nen added a save on
Saturday for 2 points.
The Bombers also took the run production category with the help of 3 run
performances by Ray Durham and Travis Fryman. Ellis Burks also
contributed with 2 HR's and is on a 6 game hitting streak.
The Dawgs took the batting average category with Jeffery Hammonds leading
the way with a .400 average and four other batters batting over 300.
Even though the Dawgs pitching was dominated by the Bombers they received
wins from Pedro Astacio, Bill Swift, Mark Langston, and a relief win from
Jeff Nelson on Sunday.
The Bombers and Dawgs tied in the stolen bases category with three each.
Good job James and good luck the rest of the season from the Dawgs!
